A BILL
To prohibit the termination of United States sanctions
against Iran unless and until all United States citizens
imprisoned in Iran have been released to the custody
of the United States Government.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Putting Americans
4
First Act’’.

SEC. 2. PROHIBITION ON TERMINATION OF UNITED STATES

SANCTIONS AGAINST IRAN.

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, sanctions
3
imposed by the United States against Iran may not be
4
waived, suspended, reduced, or otherwise terminated un-
5
less and until the President certifies to Congress that all
6
United States citizens imprisoned in Iran have been re-
7
leased to the custody of the United States Government.
