To amend title 18, United States Code, to clarify the penalty
for use of force, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Protecting Our Pro-
4
testers Act of 2021’’.

SEC. 2. CLARIFICATION OF DEPRIVATION OF RIGHTS
6
UNDER COLOR OF LAW.

Section 242 of title 18, United States Code, is

amended—
