No Taxpayer Handouts to Illegal Immigrants Act

SUSPENSION OF CERTAIN FUNDING FROM STATES 1 THAT PROVIDE MONETARY PAYMENTS TO 2 UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS. 3 (a) IN GENERAL.—Notwithstanding any other provi- 4 sion of law, no funds made available under the American 5 Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (Public Law 117–2) may be 6 made available to any State government that directly or 7 indirectly provides monetary payments to undocumented 8 immigrants. 9 (b) APPLICABILITY.—The restriction under sub- 10 section (a) shall apply to any funds made available under 11 the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 on or after the 12 date of the enactment of this Act. 13 (c) CLAWBACK PROVISION.—If any State government 14 described in subsection (a) provided monetary payments 15 (directly or indirectly) to undocumented immigrants dur- 16 ing the period beginning on the date of the enactment of 17 the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and ending on the 18 date of the enactment of this Act, the State shall imme- 19 diately submit payment to the Treasury of the United 20 States in an amount equal to the aggregate total of such 21 monetary payments. 22 Æ VerDate Sep 11 2014 01:49 Apr 27, 2021 Jkt 019200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\S1103.IS S1103 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42PROD with BILLS
