Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Natural Gas Tax Re-

peal Act’’.

SEC. 2. REPEAL.

Section 136 of the Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C.
7
7436)(relating to methane emissions and waste reduction
8
incentive program for petroleum and natural gas systems)
9
is repealed.

SEC. 3. RESCISSION.

The unobligated balance of any amounts made avail-
12
able under section 136 of the Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C.
13
7436)(as in effect on the day before the date of enactment
14
of this Act) is rescinded.
