To codify Executive Order 13809, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Protect Our Police
4
Act’’.
5
SEC. 2. CODIFICATION OF EXECUTIVE ORDER 13809.

(a) IN GENERAL.—Executive Order 13809 (82 Fed.
7
Reg. 41499; restoring State, Tribal, and local law enforce-
8
ment’s access to life-saving equipment and resources), as
9
in effect on August 28, 2017, shall have the force and
10
effect of law, without modification, unless modified or au-

thorized to be modified after the date of the enactment

of this Act by a subsequent Act of Congress.

(b) LIMITATION ON SUBSEQUENT EXECUTIVE OR-
3
DERS.—In accordance with subsection (a), the President
4
may not reinstate the Executive Order revoked by Execu-
5
tive Order 13809 or establish any substantially similar
6
Executive Order.
