A BILL
To amend the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of
2008 to authorize use of amounts under the Troubled
Assets Relief Program to be used for assistance under
the Housing Trust Fund, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Keep Your Home and
4
Prevent Homelessness Act of 2021’’.

SEC. 2. USE OF TARP AMOUNTS.

(a) IN GENERAL.—The Emergency Economic Sta-
2
bilization Act of 2008 is amended by inserting after sec-
3
tion 110 (12 U.S.C. 5220) the following new section:
4
‘‘SEC. 110A. OTHER ASSISTANCE.
5
‘‘Notwithstanding section 115(a), section 120, or any
6
other provision of law, the Secretary may transfer any
7
amounts made available under this title that are not other-
8
wise obligated to the Secretary of Housing and Urban De-
9
velopment for deposit in and use only to provide assistance
10
under the Housing Trust Fund under section 1338 of the
11
Housing and Community Development Act of 1992 (12
12
U.S.C. 4568).’’.

(b) CLERICAL AMENDMENT.—The table of contents
14
in section 1(b) of the Emergency Economic Stabilization
15
Act of 2008 (12 U.S.C. 5201 note) is amended by insert-
16
ing after the item relating to section 110 the following
17
new item:

‘‘110A. Other assistance.’’.
