SHORT TITLE. 1 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Huntington’s Disease 2 Disability Insurance Access Act of 2021’’. 3 SEC. 2. ELIMINATION OF WAITING PERIOD FOR SOCIAL SE- 4 CURITY DISABILITY INSURANCE BENEFITS 5 FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH HUNTINGTON’S DIS- 6 EASE. 7 (a) IN GENERAL.—Section 223(a)(1) of the Social 8 Security Act (42 U.S.C. 423(a)(1)) is amended, in the 9 matter following subparagraph (E), by inserting ‘‘or Hun- 10 tington’s disease’’ after ‘‘amyotrophic lateral sclerosis’’. 11 (b) EFFECTIVE DATE.—The amendment made by 12 subsection (a) shall apply with respect to applications for 13 disability insurance benefits filed after the date of the en- 14 actment of this Act. 15 SEC. 3.
