EXCLUSION OF INFORMATION RELATING TO CER- 1 TAIN EVICTIONS FROM CONSUMER REPORTS. 2 (a) IN GENERAL.—Section 605(a) of the Fair Credit 3 Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. 1681c(a)) is amended by adding 4 at the end the following: 5 ‘‘(9) An eviction, or any information related to 6 an eviction or a proceeding seeking eviction, of a 7 consumer from a rental dwelling that occurred dur- 8 ing the period beginning March 13, 2020, and end- 9 ing 120 days after the date on which the national 10 emergency concerning the novel coronavirus disease 11 (COVID–19) outbreak declared by the President on 12 March 13, 2020, under the National Emergencies 13 Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.) terminates.’’. 14 (b) APPLICABILITY.—This Act and the amendments 15 made by this Act shall apply to any consumer report (as 16 defined in section 603 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act 17 (15 U.S.C. 1681a)) issued on or after the date of the en- 18 actment of this Act. 19 Æ VerDate Sep 11 2014 22:22 Apr 18, 2021 Jkt 019200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\H1594.IH H1594 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42PROD with BILLS
