AUTHORITY OF THE SECRETARY OF VETERANS AF- 1 FAIRS TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN PROVIDING 2 ADDITIONAL VEHICLES ADAPTED FOR OPER- 3 ATION BY DISABLED INDIVIDUALS TO CER- 4 TAIN ELIGIBLE PERSONS. 5 (a) IN GENERAL.—Section 3903(a) of title 38, 6 United States Code, is amended— 7 (1) in paragraph (1), by striking ‘‘paragraph 8 (2)’’ and inserting ‘‘paragraphs (2) and (3)’’; and 9 (2) by adding at the end the following new 10 paragraph: 11 ‘‘(3) The Secretary may provide or assist in providing 12 an eligible person with an additional automobile or other 13 conveyance under this chapter if 10 years have elapsed 14 since the date on which the eligible person received the 15 immediately previous such automobile, other conveyance, 16 or assistance under this chapter.’’. 17 (b) EFFECTIVE DATE.—Paragraph (3) of subsection 18 (a) of section 3903 of title 38, United States Code, shall 19 apply with respect to the provision of an additional auto- 20 mobile or other conveyance that occurs on or after October 21 1, 2021. 22 Æ VerDate Sep 11 2014 02:24 Mar 22, 2021 Jkt 019200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\H1361.IH H1361 pbinns on DSKJLVW7X2PROD with BILLS
