following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Natural Resources

To require the Secretary of the Interior to remove the An-
drew Jackson statue and marble base in Lafayette
Square in the District of Columbia, and for other pur-
poses.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Andrew Jackson Stat-
4
ue Removal Act’’.

SEC. 2. REMOVAL OF ANDREW JACKSON STATUE.

(a) REMOVAL.—The Secretary of the Interior shall
7
ensure that the Andrew Jackson statue and marble base

(b) DONATION.—The Secretary shall donate the An-
3
drew Jackson statue and marble base to a museum or
4
other similar entity. The recipient of the statue and base
5
may not store, display, or exhibit the statue outside. If
6
the statue is stored, displayed, or exhibited outside, owner-
7
ship of the statue and marble base will revert back to the
8
Federal Government.
