To repeal section 230 of the Communications Act of 1934
(commonly referred to as the Communications Decency
Act) to stop censorship, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Abandoning Online
4
Censorship Act’’ or the ‘‘AOC Act’’.

SEC. 2. REPEAL OF SECTION 230.

Section 230 of the Communications Act of 1934 (47
7
U.S.C. 230(c)) is repealed.
