Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Trusted Traveler Re- 4 consideration and Restoration Act of 2021’’. 5 SEC. 2. Such review shall ex- 2 amine the following: 3 (1) The extent to which the Department of 4 Homeland Security tracks data and monitors trends 5 related to trusted traveler programs, including root 6 causes for identity-matching errors resulting in an 7 individual’s enrollment in a trusted traveler program 8 being reinstated. 9 (2) Whether the Department coordinates with 10 the heads of other relevant Federal, State, local, 11 Tribal, or territorial entities regarding redress proce- 12 dures for disqualifying offenses not covered by the 13 Department’s own redress processes but which of- 14 fenses impact an individual’s enrollment in a trusted 15 traveler program. 16 (3) How the Department may improve individ- 17 uals’ access to reconsideration procedures regarding 18 a disqualifying offense for enrollment in a trusted 19 traveler program that requires the involvement of 20 any other Federal, State, local, Tribal, or territorial 21 entity. 22 (4) The extent to which travelers are informed 23 about reconsideration procedures regarding enroll- 24 ment in a trusted traveler program. 25 VerDate Sep 11 2014 01:10 Dec 14, 2022 Jkt 039200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H473.RS H473 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42PROD with BILLS 3 •HR 473 RS SEC. 3.
