A BILL
To provide law enforcement agencies investigating the Janu-
ary 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol with the authority
to require a company to disclose the beneficial owners
of the company, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Insurrection Financing
4
Transparency Act of 2021’’.

SEC. 2. LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY.

(a) IN GENERAL.—A law enforcement agency may
2
require a reporting company to provide the agency with
3
a report that contains the information described in section
4
5336(b)(2) of title 31, United States Code, if the law en-
5
forcement agency certifies to the reporting company that
6
the report is required to carry out the agency’s investiga-
7
tion into the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol.
8
(b) PENALTIES.—The penalties provided under sec-
9
tion 5336(h) of title 31, United States Code, shall apply
10
to a violation of this section to the same extent as they
11
apply to a violation of such section 5336.
12
(c) DEFINITIONS.—The definitions provided in sec-
13
tion 5336(a) of title 31, United States Code, apply to this
14
section.
