A BILL
To amend the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 to treat
the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands in
the same manner as Guam is treated.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Assuring You Uniform
4
Dietary Assistance (AYUDA) Act of 2021’’.
5
SEC. 2. AMENDMENTS.
6
(a) DEFINITIONS.—Section 3 of the Food and Nutri-
7
tion Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2012) is amended—

(1) in subsection (b) by inserting ‘‘the Com-

monwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands,’’ after
10
‘‘Guam,’’, and
11
(2) in subsection (c)—
12
(A) in paragraph (1) by striking ‘‘and
13
Guam,’’ and inserting ‘‘Guam, and the Com-
14
monwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands,’’,
15
and
16
(B) in the last sentence by striking ‘‘or
17
Guam’’ and inserting ‘‘Guam, or the Common-
18
wealth of the Northern Mariana Islands’’, and
19
(3) in subsection (e)—

(A) in paragraph (1)(B)—

in
the
heading
by
striking
