A BILL
To enhance the safety of ports of entry in the United States,
and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Putting Our Resources
4
Toward Security (PORTS) Act’’.
5
SEC. 2. IMPROVING PORTS OF ENTRY FOR BORDER SECU-
6
RITY AND OTHER PURPOSES.

(1) IN GENERAL.—There are authorized to be
8
appropriated to the Administrator of the General
9
Services Administration $2,000,000,000 for each of

fiscal years 2022 through 2024 to make improve-

ments to existing ports of entry in the United States
2
to improve border security and for other purposes.

(2) PRIORITY.—In making improvements de-
4
scribed in subsection (a), the Administrator of the
5
General Services Administration, in coordination
6
with the Secretary of Homeland Security, shall give
7
priority to the ports of entry that the Administrator
8
determines are in most need of repair to improve
9
border security and for other purposes in accordance
10
with port of entry infrastructure assessment studies
11
required in section 603 of title VI, division E, of the
12
Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2008 (Public
13
Law 110–161).
