To prohibit the use of United States Government funds
for art in United States embassies and consulates, and
for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘No Taxpayer-Funded
4
Art in Embassies Act’’.

SEC. 2. PROHIBITION.

(a) IN GENERAL.—No funds are authorized to be ap-
7
propriated, and the Secretary of State may not obligate
8
or expend any funds, for the purchase, installation, insur-
9
ance, or transport of any art for the purposes of installa-

(b) DEFINITION.—In this section, the term ‘‘art’’ in-

cludes paintings, sculptures, photographs, industrial de-
4
sign, and craft art.
