What This Bill Does
This bill requires the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (a federal law enforcement agency) to write reports about guns being illegally moved along Interstate 95. The bureau must submit these reports to Congress starting one year after the law passes, and then every year after that.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Iron Pipeline Review

Act’’.

SEC. 2. BUREAU OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, FIREARMS, AND

EXPLOSIVES REPORT ON FIREARMS TRAF-

FICKING ALONG THE I–95 CORRIDOR.

priate by the Director, shall submit to the Committee on

Committee on the Judiciary of the Senate a report on fire-

arms trafficked along Interstate 95 that contains the fol-

lowing:

(1) An analysis of the number of firearms traf-

ficked along Interstate 95, that contains the fol-

lowing:

(A) Firearms listed by the State of origin,

and the make and model of the firearm.

(B) An analysis of the effectiveness of
14
counter firearm trafficking measures.
15
(C) An analysis of specific local, State and
16
Federal laws that affect the number of firearms
17
trafficked.

(D) A description of any actions directed
19
as a result of the analysis conducted under this
20
section.

(2) Recommendations, as appropriate, for Fed-
22
eral, State and local law enforcement entities to im-
23
prove firearm trafficking measures referred to in
24
paragraph (1).
