Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Angellyh Yambo Gun 4 Free Zone Expansion Act of 2023’’. 5 SEC. 2. PROHIBITING GHOST GUNS. 7 (a) IN GENERAL.—Section 922 of title 18, United 8 States Code, is amended by adding at the end the fol- 9 lowing: 10 ‘‘(aa) GHOST GUN PROHIBITION.—It shall be unlaw- 11 ful for any person to transfer or possess a ghost gun.’’. 12 (b) DEFINITION.—Section 921(a) of title 18, United 13 States Code, as amended by section 2, is further amended 14 by inserting after paragraph (37) the following: 15 ‘‘(38) The term ‘ghost gun’ means a firearm that 16 lacks a unique serial number engraved or cast on the 17 frame or receiver of the firearm by a licensed manufac- 18 turer or licensed importer in accordance with section 19 923(i) of title 18, United States Code, and includes any 20 combination of parts designed or intended to be assem- 21 bled, or to be used in converting a device, into a firearm.’’. 22 Æ VerDate Sep 11 2014 23:35 Jul 07, 2023 Jkt 039200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\H3931.IH H3931 pbinns on DSKJLVW7X2PROD with $$_JOB
