Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. BOUNDARY ADJUSTMENT. 1 Section 507(c) of the National Parks and Recreation 2 Act of 1978 (16 U.S.C. 460kk(c)) is amended by striking 3 paragraph (1) and inserting the following: 4 ‘‘(1) BOUNDARY.— 5 ‘‘(A) IN GENERAL.—The recreation area 6 shall consist of— 7 ‘‘(i) the land, water, and interests in 8 land and water generally depicted as the 9 recreation area on the map entitled ‘Santa 10 Monica Mountains National Recreation 11 Area and Santa Monica Mountains Zone, 12 California, Boundary Map’, numbered 13 80,047–C, and dated August 2001; and 14 ‘‘(ii) the land, water, and interests in 15 land and water, as generally depicted as 16 ‘Proposed Addition’ on the map entitled 17 ‘Rim of the Valley Unit—Santa Monica 18 Mountains National Recreation Area’, 19 numbered 638/147,723, and dated April 20 2023. 21 ‘‘(B) AVAILABILITY OF MAPS.—The maps 22 described in subparagraph (A) shall be on file 23 and available for public inspection in the appro- 24 priate offices of the National Park Service. 25 VerDate Sep 11 2014 05:23 Jul 26, 2023 Jkt 039200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\S1466.RS S1466 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42PROD with BILLS 3 •S 1466 RS ‘‘(C) REVISIONS.—After advising the Com- 1 mittee on Energy and Natural Resources of the 2 Senate and the Committee on Natural Re- 3 sources of the House of Representatives, in 4 writing, of the proposed revision, the Secretary 5 may make minor revisions to the boundaries of 6 the recreation area by publication of a revised 7 drawing or other boundary description in the 8 Federal Register.’’. 9 SEC. 3. ADMINISTRATION. 10 Any land or interest in land acquired by the Secretary 11 of the Interior within the Rim of the Valley Unit shall 12 be administered as part of the Santa Monica Mountains 13 National Recreation Area (referred to in this Act as the 14 ‘‘National Recreation Area’’) in accordance with the laws 15 (including regulations) applicable to the National Recre- 16 ation Area. 17 SEC. 4.
