To amend the Safe Drinking Water Act with respect to
assistance for disadvantaged communities, and for other
purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Clean Drinking Water
4
Equity Act’’.

SEC. 2. ASSISTANCE FOR DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES.

Section 1452(d)(2)(A) of the Safe Drinking Water
7
Act (42 U.S.C. 300j–12(d)(2)(A)) is amended by striking
8
‘‘35 percent’’ and inserting ‘‘40 percent’’.
