A BILL
To amend title 18, United States Code, to make fraudulent
dealings in firearms and ammunition unlawful, and for
other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Stopping the Fraudu-
4
lent Sales of Firearms Act’’.
5
SEC. 2. FRAUDULENT DEALINGS IN FIREARMS.

(a) IN GENERAL.—Section 922(a) of title 18, United
7
States Code, is amended—
8
(1) in paragraph (9), by striking the period and
9
at the end and inserting ‘‘; and’’; and

(2) by adding at the end the following:

‘‘(10) for any person—
2
‘‘(A) to import, manufacture, or sell a fire-
3
arm or ammunition by means of false or fraud-
4
ulent pretenses, representations, or promises;
5
and
6
‘‘(B) to transmit or cause to be trans-
7
mitted, by means of wire, radio, or television
8
communication in interstate or foreign com-
9
merce, any communication relating to the im-
10
portation, manufacture, or sale described in
11
subparagraph (A).’’.

(b) PENALTY.—Section 924(a)(1)(B) of title 18,
13
United States Code, is amended by inserting ‘‘(a)(10),’’
14
before ‘‘(f)’’.
