A BILL
To provide for the dissemination to farm and agricultural
workers of information and training on best practices
used to respond to the COVID–19 pandemic, and for
other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Farm and Agricultural
4
Worker Safety Education Act’’.

SEC. 2. DISSEMINATION TO FARM AND AGRICULTURAL

WORKERS OF INFORMATION AND TRAINING

ON BEST PRACTICES USED TO RESPOND TO
3
THE COVID–19 PANDEMIC.

(a) IN GENERAL.—Section 502(i)(1)(B) of the Rural
5
Development Act of 1972 (7 U.S.C. 2662(i)(1)(B)) is
6
amended—
7
(1) in the subparagraph heading, by inserting
8
‘‘AND AGRICULTURAL WORKER’’ before ‘‘SAFETY’’;
9
(2) in the matter preceding clause (i)—
10
(A) by inserting ‘‘and agricultural worker’’
11
before ‘‘safety education’’; and
12
(B) by striking ‘‘timber harvesters, and
13
farm families’’ and inserting ‘‘agricultural proc-
14
essors and handlers, timber harvesters, farm
15
families, and other participants in the agricul-
16
tural supply chain’’;
17
(3) in clause (iii), by striking ‘‘dermititis’’ and
18
inserting ‘‘dermatitis’’;
19
(4) in clause (v), by striking ‘‘and’’ at the end;
20
(5) in clause (vi), by striking the period and in-
21
serting ‘‘; and’’; and
22
(6) by adding at the end the following:

‘‘(vii) other relevant health and safety
24
guidance, guidelines, requirements, or in-
25
formation.’’.

(b) LIMITATIONS
ON AUTHORIZATION
OF APPRO-
1
PRIATIONS.—For the purpose of disseminating informa-
2
tion related to the COVID–19 pandemic under section
3
502(i)(1)(B) of the Rural Development Act of 1972, there
4
are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary of Agri-
5
culture $50,000,000 for fiscal year 2021, which is author-
6
ized to remain available through fiscal year 2026.
7
SEC. 3. RURAL HEALTH DISRUPTION PRIORITIZATION
8
FLEXIBILITY.
9
Section 6101(a) of the Agricultural Act of 2018 (132
10
Stat. 4726–4727; Public Law 115–334) is amended by
11
striking paragraph (2) and redesignating paragraph (3)
12
as paragraph (2).
