Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. ROSIE THE RIVETER/WORLD WAR II HOME 3 FRONT NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK ADDI- 4 TIONS. 5 (a) SHORT TITLE.—This Act may be cited as the 6 ‘‘Rosie the Riveter National Historic Site Expansion Act’’. 7 VerDate Sep 11 2014 21:50 Aug 03, 2020 Jkt 099200 PO 00000 Frm 00001 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H7585.IH H7585 pbinns on DSKJLVW7X2PROD with BILLS 2 •HR 7585 IH (b) ADDITIONS.—The Rosie the Riveter/World War 1 II Home Front National Historical Park Establishment 2 Act of 2000 (16 U.S.C. 410ggg et seq.) is amended as 3 follows: 4 (1) In section 2(b), by adding at the end the 5 following: ‘‘Not later than 180 days after areas are 6 added to the park administratively or by Federal 7 law, the Secretary shall update the map to include 8 the added areas.’’. 9 (2) By adding at the end of section 2, the fol- 10 lowing: 11 ‘‘(c) ADDITIONAL AREAS INCLUDED.—In addition to 12 areas included under subsection (b), the park shall include 13 the following: 14 ‘‘(1) The Nystrom Elementary School–The 15 Maritime Building, as listed on the National Reg- 16 ister of Historic Places. 17 ‘‘(2) Such other areas as the Secretary deems 18 appropriate.’’. 19 (3) By amending section 3(e)(2) to read as fol- 20 lows: 21 ‘‘(2) OTHER PROPERTY.—Within the bound- 22 aries of the park, the Secretary may acquire lands, 23 improvements, waters, or interests therein, by dona- 24 tion, purchase, exchange or transfer. When any tract of land is only 3 partly within such boundaries, the Secretary may ac- 4 quire all or any portion of the land outside of such 5 boundaries in order to minimize the payment of sev- 6 erance costs. Land so acquired outside of the bound- 7 aries may be exchanged by the Secretary for non- 8 Federal lands within the boundaries.
