citrus fruit originating from the People’s Republic of China.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘U.S. Citrus Protection
4
Act’’.

SEC. 2. PROHIBITION ON IMPORTATION OF COMMER-

CIALLY PRODUCED FRESH CITRUS FRUIT

ORIGINATING FROM THE PEOPLE’S REPUB-

LIC OF CHINA.

(a) IN GENERAL.—Notwithstanding any other provi-
5
sion of law, articles of commercially produced fresh citrus
6
fruit originating from the People’s Republic of China may
7
not be imported into the United States.
8
(b) EFFECTIVE DATE.—This Act shall take effect on
9
the date that is 90 days after the date of the enactment
10
of this Act.
