duced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Trans-
portation and Infrastructure
A BILL
To waive the cost share requirement for Indian Tribes receiv-
ing disaster assistance relating to COVID–19, and for
other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Tribal COVID–19 Dis-
4
aster Assistance Cost Share Relief Act’’.
5
SEC. 2. DISASTER ASSISTANCE.

(a) IN GENERAL.—Notwithstanding any other provi-
7
sion of law, including any agreement, the Federal share
8
of assistance, including direct Federal assistance, provided

to an Indian tribal government in connection with

COVID–19 under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief
2
and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 5121 et seq.)
3
shall be 100 percent of the eligible costs under such Act,
4
regardless of whether the Indian tribal government was
5
the recipient or subrecipient of the assistance.

(b) APPLICABILITY.—The Federal share provided by
7
subsection (a) shall apply to disaster assistance described
8
in subsection (a) applied for before, on, or after the date
9
of enactment of this Act.
