A BILL
To provide entrepreneurship as a well-rounded educational
opportunity, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘21st Century Youth
4
Entrepreneurship Act’’.
5
SEC. 2. ACTIVITIES TO SUPPORT WELL-ROUNDED EDU-
6
CATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES.

(a) ELEMENTARY
AND
SECONDARY
EDUCATION

ACT.—Section 4107(a)(3) of the Elementary and Sec-

(1) in subparagraph (I), by striking ‘‘or’’ at the

end;

(2) by redesignating subparagraph (J) as sub-
5
paragraph (K); and
6
(3) by inserting after subparagraph (I) the fol-
7
lowing:

‘‘(J) programs and activities that promote
9
innovation, such as leadership, financial lit-
10
eracy, and entrepreneurship; or’’.

(b) CARL D. PERKINS CAREER
AND TECHNICAL

EDUCATION ACT.—Section 135(b)(5) of the Carl D. Per-
13
kins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (20
14
U.S.C. 2355(b)(5)) is amended—
15
(1) in subparagraph (S), by striking ‘‘or’’ at the
16
end;
17
(2) by redesignating subparagraph (T) as sub-
18
paragraph (U); and
19
(3) by inserting after subparagraph (S) the fol-
20
lowing:
21
‘‘(T) expanding opportunities for students
22
to participate in entrepreneurship education
23
programs; or’’.
