A BILL
To amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to clarify
the officers of U.S. Customs and Border Protection are
authorized to conduct asylum interviews, and for other
purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Securing Comprehen-
4
sive Review in Entry Enforcement Now Act of 2019’’ or
5
the ‘‘SCREEN Act of 2019’’.

Section 235(b)(1)(E) of the Immigration and Nation-
4
ality Act (8 U.S.C. 1225(b)(1)(E)) is amended in the mat-
5
ter preceding clause (i), by inserting ‘‘, including an officer
6
of U.S. Customs and Border Protection,’’ after ‘‘immigra-
7
tion officer’’.
