Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. REVISION OF COMPOSITION OF BOARD OF ZONING 1 ADJUSTMENT. 2 (a) REVISION.— 3 (1) IN GENERAL.—The first undesignated para- 4 graph of section 8 of the Act of June 20, 1938 (52 5 Stat. 799; sec. 6–641.07(a), D.C. Official Code), is 6 amended by striking ‘‘which shall be composed’’ and 7 all that follows through ‘‘a resident of the District 8 of Columbia’’ and inserting ‘‘which shall be com- 9 posed of 5 members appointed by the Mayor of the 10 District of Columbia with the advice and consent of 11 the Council of the District of Columbia, each of 12 whom shall have been a resident of the District of 13 Columbia’’. 14 (2) CONFORMING AMENDMENT.—The second 15 undesignated paragraph of section 8 of such Act (52 16 Stat. 799; sec. 6–641.07(b), D.C.
