RES. 44 JOINT RESOLUTION Providing for congressional disapproval of the proposed re- transfer of certain defense articles from the United Arab Emirates to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives 1 of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 That the issuance of an export license with respect to the 3 following proposed retransfer of defense articles from the 4 United Arab Emirates to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jor- 5 dan is prohibited: 6 (1) The retransfer of the following defense arti- 7 cles, including services and technical data, described 8 in Executive Communication 1428 (EC–1428) sub- 9 mitted to Congress pursuant to section 3(d) of the 10 Arms Export Control Act (22 U.S.C. 2753(d)) and 11 published in the Congressional Record on June 3, 12 2019: The proposed retransfer of 500 Paveway II 13 laser guided bombs (including Mk–82 warheads, 14 2 † SJ 44 ES FMU–152A/B fuzes, and guidance kits) from the 1 United Arab Emirates to Jordan. 2 Passed the Senate June 20, 2019.
