Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives 1 of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 That the issuance of an export license with respect to any 3 of the following proposed exports to the United Arab 4 Emirates and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and 5 Northern Ireland is prohibited: 6 (1) The transfer to the United Arab Emirates 7 and to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and 8 Northern Ireland of the following defense articles, 9 including technical data and defense services, de- 10 scribed in Executive Communication 1421 (EC– 11 1421) submitted to Congress pursuant to section 12 36(c) of the Arms Export Control Act (22 U.S.C. 13 2776(c)) and published in the Congressional Record 14 on June 3, 2019: The proposed technical assistance 15 2 † SJ 42 ES agreement with Armed Forces of the United Arab 1 Emirates to transfer defense articles, defense serv- 2 ices, and technical data to support preparation ship- 3 ment, delivery, and acceptance of the Guidance En- 4 hanced (GEM–T) in support of the Patriot Program 5 for end use by the Government of the United Arab 6 Emirates. 7 Passed the Senate June 20, 2019.
