A BILL
To require the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to provide train-
ing in the use of medical cannabis for all Department
of Veterans Affairs primary care providers, and for other
purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. TRAINING IN USE OF MEDICAL CANNABIS FOR

DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS PRI-
4
MARY CARE PROVIDERS.

(a) TRAINING.—Not later than one year after the
6
date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Vet-
7
erans Affairs shall provide for all primary care providers

of the Department of Veterans Affairs an initial training

in the use of medical cannabis. The Secretary shall provide
2
supplemental training as necessary.

(b) PARTNERSHIPS WITH MEDICAL SCHOOLS.—In
4
developing and providing the training to be provided under
5
subsection (a), the Secretary shall enter into partnerships
6
with medical schools that have incorporated education on
7
medical cannabis into their curricula.
