CHIEF STANDING BEAR NATIONAL HISTORIC 1 TRAIL FEASIBILITY STUDY. 2 Section 5(c) of the National Trails System Act (16 3 U.S.C. 1244(c)) is amended by adding at the end the fol- 4 lowing: 5 ‘‘(xx) CHIEF STANDING BEAR NATIONAL HIS- 6 TORIC TRAIL.—The Chief Standing Bear Trail, ex- 7 tending approximately 550 miles from Niobrara, Ne- 8 braska, to Ponca City, Oklahoma, which follows the 9 route taken by Chief Standing Bear and the Ponca 10 people during Federal Indian removal, and approxi- 11 mately 550 miles from Ponca City, Oklahoma, 12 through Omaha, Nebraska, to Niobrara, Nebraska, 13 which follows the return route taken by Chief Stand- 14 ing Bear and the Ponca people.’’. 15 Passed the House of Representatives February 26, 2020.
