To provide the right of American Indians born in Canada or the United
States to pass the borders of the United States to any individual who
is a member, or is eligible to be a member, of a Federally recognized
Indian tribe in the United States or Canada, and for other purposes.

A BILL
To provide the right of American Indians born in Canada
or the United States to pass the borders of the United
States to any individual who is a member, or is eligible
to be a member, of a Federally recognized Indian tribe
in the United States or Canada, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Tribal Border Crossing
4
Parity Act’’.

SEC. 2. AMERICAN INDIANS BORN IN CANADA OR THE

UNITED STATES.

Section 289 of the Immigration and Nationality Act
3
(8 U.S.C. 1359) is amended—
4
(1) by inserting after ‘‘born in Canada’’ the fol-
5
lowing: ‘‘or the United States’’; and
6
(2) by inserting after ‘‘but such right shall ex-
7
tend only to persons’’ the following: ‘‘who are mem-
8
bers, or are eligible to be members, of a Federally
9
recognized Indian tribe in the United States or Can-
10
ada, or’’.
