A BILL
To make technical corrections to provisions of law enacted
by the Frank LoBiondo Coast Guard Authorization Act
of 2018, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. TECHNICAL CORRECTIONS.

(a)
Upon
the
date
amendments
to
section
4
3305(d)(3)(B) of title 46, United States Code, take effect
5
under section 501(a) of the Frank LoBiondo Coast Guard
6
Authorization Act of 2018 (Public Law 115–282), such
7
section is amended by striking ‘‘Coast Guard Authoriza-
8
tion Act of 2017’’ and inserting ‘‘Frank LoBiondo Coast
9
Guard Authorization Act of 2018’’.

States Code, takes effect under section 503(c) of the

Frank LoBiondo Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2018

(Public Law 115–282), such section is amended by strik-

ing ‘‘Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2017’’ each place
5
it appears and inserting ‘‘Frank LoBiondo Coast Guard
6
Authorization Act of 2018’’.

(c) Section 821(a)(2) of the Frank LoBiondo Coast
8
Guard Authorization Act of 2018 (Public Law 115–282)
9
is amended by striking ‘‘Coast Guard Authorization Act
10
of 2017’’ and inserting ‘‘this Act’’.

(d) Section 820(b)(2) of the Frank LoBiondo Coast
12
Guard Authorization Act of 2018 (Public Law 115–282)
13
is amended by inserting ‘‘and the Consolidated Appropria-
14
tions Act, 2018 (Public Law 115–141)’’ after ‘‘(Public
15
Law 115–31)’’.

(e) Section 820(a) of the Frank LoBiondo Coast
17
Guard Authorization Act of 2018 (Public Law 115–282)
18
is amended by striking ‘‘years 2018 and’’ and inserting
19
‘‘year’’.

(f) Section 810(d) of the Frank LoBiondo Coast
21
Guard Authorization Act of 2018 (Public Law 115–282)
22
is amended by striking ‘‘within 30 days after receiving the
23
notice under subsection (a)(1), the Secretary shall, by not
24
later than 60 days after transmitting such notice,’’ and

inserting ‘‘in accordance within subsection (a)(2), the Sec-

retary shall’’.

(g) Subsections (a) and (d) of section 408 of the

Frank LoBiondo Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2018
4
(Public Law 115–282) shall have no force or effect.
5
(h) This section shall take effect on the date of the
6
enactment of the Frank LoBiondo Coast Guard Author-
7
ization Act of 2018 (Public Law 115–282) and apply as
8
if included therein as enacted.

SEC. 2. ADVISORY COMMITTEE; REPRESENTATION.
10
Section 15106(c)(3) of title 46, United States Code,
11
is amended—
12
(1) in subparagraph (C), by striking ‘‘mineral
13
and oil operations, including geophysical services’’
14
and inserting ‘‘operations’’;
15
(2) in subparagraph (D), by striking ‘‘explo-
16
ration and recovery’’;
17
(3) in subparagraph (E), by striking ‘‘engaged
18
in diving services related to offshore construction,
19
inspection, and maintenance’’ and inserting ‘‘pro-
20
viding diving services to the offshore industry’’;
21
(4) in subparagraph (F), by striking ‘‘engaged
22
in safety and training services related to offshore ex-
23
ploration and construction’’ and inserting ‘‘providing

safety and training services to the offshore indus-

try’’;

(5) in subparagraph (G), by striking ‘‘engaged

in pipelaying services related to offshore construc-
4
tion’’ and inserting ‘‘providing subsea engineering,
5
construction, or remotely operated vehicle support to
6
the offshore industry’’;
7
(6) in subparagraph (H), by striking ‘‘mineral
8
and energy’’;
9
(7) by redesignating subparagraphs (J) and (K)
10
as subparagraphs (K) and (L), respectively;
11
(8) by inserting after subparagraph (I) the fol-
12
lowing:

‘‘(J) 1 member shall represent entities pro-
14
viding environmental protection, compliance, or
15
response services to the offshore industry.’’;
16
(9) in subparagraph (K), as so redesignated, by
17
striking ‘‘deepwater ports’’ and inserting ‘‘entities
18
engaged in offshore oil exploration and production
19
on the Outer Continental Shelf adjacent to Alaska’’;
20
and
21
(10) in subparagraph (L), as so redesignated,
22
by striking ‘‘(but not a specific environmental
23
group)’’.
