Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Amache Study Act’’. 4 SEC. 2. AMACHE SPECIAL RESOURCE STUDY. 5 (a) IN GENERAL.—The Secretary shall conduct a 6 special resource study of the study area. 7 (b) CONTENTS.—In conducting the study under sub- 8 section (a), the Secretary shall— 9 (1) evaluate the national significance of the 10 study area; 11 (2) determine the suitability and feasibility of 12 designating the study area as a unit of the National 13 Park System; 14 (3) consider other alternatives for preservation, 15 protection, and interpretation of the study area by 16 the Federal Government, State or local government 17 entities, or private and nonprofit organizations; 18 (4) consult with interested Federal agencies, 19 State or local governmental entities, private and 20 nonprofit organizations, or any other interested indi- 21 viduals; and 22 (5) identify cost estimates for any Federal ac- 23 quisition, development, interpretation, operation, and 24 VerDate Sep 11 2014 00:12 Mar 02, 2019 Jkt 089200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H1330.IH H1330 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42 with BILLS 3 •HR 1330 IH maintenance associated with the alternatives de- 1 scribed in paragraphs (2) and (3). 2 (c) APPLICABLE LAW.—The study required under 3 subsection (a) shall be conducted in accordance with sec- 4 tion 100507 of title 54, United States Code. 5 (d) REPORT.—Not later than 3 years after the date 6 on which funds are first made available to carry out the 7 study under subsection (a), the Secretary shall submit to 8 the Committee on Natural Resources of the House of Rep- 9 resentatives and the Committee on Energy and Natural 10 Resources of the Senate a report that describes— 11 (1) the results of the study; and 12 (2) any conclusions and recommendations of the 13 Secretary. 14 Æ VerDate Sep 11 2014 00:12 Mar 02, 2019 Jkt 089200 PO 00000 Frm 00003 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\H1330.IH H1330 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42 with BILLS
