Mr. LAHOOD (for himself, Mrs. WALORSKI, and Mr. WENSTRUP) introduced
the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Ways and
Means, and in addition to the Committee on Education and Labor, for
a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for
consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the com-
mittee concerned

To amend title IV–A of the Social Security Act, and for
other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Supporting Work
4
Through Apprenticeships Act’’.
5
SEC. 2. SUPPORTING WORK THROUGH APPRENTICESHIPS.

Section 407(d)(5) of the Social Security Act (42
7
U.S.C. 607(d)(5)) is amended by inserting ‘‘, including ap-
8
prenticeship’’ before the semicolon.
