AN ACT
To require the collection of certain data relating to Bureau
of Land Management land acquisitions, and for other
purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT LAND ACQUI-

SITION DATA.

The Secretary of the Interior (acting through the Di-
3
rector of the Bureau of Land Management) shall—
4
(1) collect centralized data on land acquired for
5
administration by the Bureau of Land Management
6
using amounts from the Land and Water Conserva-
7
tion Fund established under section 200302 of title
8
54, United States Code, including data on—
9
(A) the method used for the acquisition;
10
and
11
(B) the type of interest acquired;
12
(2) not later than 1 year after the date of en-
13
actment of this Act, and annually thereafter, submit
14
to Congress a report describing the information col-
15
lected under paragraph (1); and
16
(3) develop guidance to ensure that land acqui-
17
sition data collected under paragraph (1) is entered
18
correctly and properly coded in the data system of
19
the Bureau of Land Management.
