A BILL
To amend title 10, United States Code, to require a full
military honors ceremony for certain deceased veterans,
and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the โโFull Military Honors
4
Act of 2019โโ.

SEC. 2. FULL MILITARY HONORS CEREMONY FOR CERTAIN
6
VETERANS.
7
Section 1491(b) of title 10, United States Code, is
8
amended by adding at the end the following:

โโ(3) The Secretary concerned shall provide full mili-
1
tary honors (as determined by the Secretary concerned)
2
for the funeral of a veteran whoโ
3
โโ(A) is first interred or first inurned in Arling-
4
ton National Cemetery on or after the date of the
5
enactment of the Full Military Honors Act of 2019;
6
โโ(B) was awarded the medal of honor or the
7
prisoner-of-war medal; and
8
โโ(C) is not entitled to full military honors by
9
the grade of that veteran.โโ.
