To extend the authorization for the MotorCities National
Heritage Area in the State of Michigan, and for other
purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Preserving the
4
MotorCities Heritage Act’’.

SEC. 2. EXTENSION OF MOTORCITIES NATIONAL HERITAGE

AREA AUTHORIZATION.

The Automobile National Heritage Area Act (Public
3
Law 105–355; 112 Stat. 3247; 128 Stat. 3802) is amend-
4
ed—
5
(1) in section 109, by striking ‘‘September 30,
6
2021’’ and inserting ‘‘September 30, 2025’’; and
7
(2) in section 110(a)—
8
(A) in the second sentence, by striking
9
‘‘Not more than a total of $10,000,000’’ and
10
inserting the following:

‘‘(2)
LIMITATION
ON
TOTAL
APPROPRIA-
12
TIONS.—Not more than a total of $12,000,000’’;
13
and
14
(B) by striking the subsection designation
15
and heading and all that follows through

‘‘There are’’ in the first sentence and inserting
