SECTION 1. PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS FOR ARPITA

KURDEKAR,
GIRISH
KURDEKAR,
AND
2
VANDANA KURDEKAR.

(a) IN GENERAL.—Notwithstanding subsections (a)
4
and (b) of section 201 of the Immigration and Nationality
5
Act, Arpita Kurdekar, Girish Kurdekar, and Vandana
6
Kurdekar shall each be eligible for issuance of an immi-
7
grant visa or for adjustment of status to that of an alien
8
lawfully admitted for permanent residence upon filing an
9
application for issuance of an immigrant visa under sec-
10
tion 204 of such Act or for adjustment of status to lawful
11
permanent resident.

(b) ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS.—If Arpita Kurdekar,
13
Girish Kurdekar, or Vandana Kurdekar enters the United
14
States before the filing deadline specified in subsection (c),
15
he or she shall be considered to have entered and remained
16
lawfully and shall, if otherwise eligible, be eligible for ad-
17
justment of status under section 245 of the Immigration
18
and Nationality Act as of the date of the enactment of
19
this Act.

(c) DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION AND PAYMENT OF
21
FEES.—Subsections (a) and (b) shall apply only if the ap-
22
plication for issuance of an immigrant visa or the applica-
23
tion for adjustment of status is filed with appropriate fees
24
within 2 years after the date of the enactment of this Act.

(d) REDUCTION OF IMMIGRANT VISA NUMBER.—
1
Upon the granting of an immigrant visa or permanent res-
2
idence to Arpita Kurdekar, Girish Kurdekar, and Vandana
3
Kurdekar, the Secretary of State shall instruct the proper
4
officer to reduce by 3, during the current or next following
5
fiscal year, the total number of immigrant visas that are
6
made available to natives of the country of the aliens’ birth
7
under section 203(a) of the Immigration and Nationality
8
Act or, if applicable, the total number of immigrant visas
9
that are made available to natives of the country of the
10
aliens’ birth under section 202(e) of such Act.

(e)
DENIAL
OF
PREFERENTIAL
IMMIGRATION

TREATMENT
FOR CERTAIN RELATIVES.—The natural
13
parents, brothers, and sisters of Arpita Kurdekar, Girish
14
Kurdekar, and Vandana Kurdekar shall not, by virtue of
15
such relationship, be accorded any right, privilege, or sta-
16
tus under the Immigration and Nationality Act.
17
SEC. 2. DETERMINATION OF BUDGETARY EFFECTS.
18
The budgetary effects of this Act, for the purpose of
19
complying with the Statutory Pay-As-You-Go Act of 2010,
20
shall be determined by reference to the latest statement
21
titled ‘‘Budgetary Effects of PAYGO Legislation’’ for this
22
Act, submitted for printing in the Congressional Record
23
by the Chairman of the House Budget Committee, pro-
