A BILL
To transfer administrative jurisdiction of certain Federal
lands from the United States Army Corps of Engineers
to the United States Bureau of Indian Affairs, to take
such lands into trust for the Winnebago Tribe of Ne-
braska.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Winnebago Land
4
Transfer Act of 2019’’.

SEC. 2. LAND TO BE TAKEN INTO TRUST.

(a) IN GENERAL.—Subject to all valid existing rights,
2
all right, title, and interest (including improvements and
3
appurtenances) of the United States in and to the Federal
4
lands described in subsection (b), the Federal lands are
5
declared to be part of the Winnebago Reservation created
6
by the Treaty between the United States and the Winne-
7
bago Tribe in 1865 and shall be held in trust by the
8
United States for the benefit of the Winnebago Tribe of
9
Nebraska subject to the same terms and conditions as
10
those lands described in the Treaty with the Winnebago
11
Tribe, 1865 (14 Stat. 671).

(b) FEDERAL LANDS DESCRIBED.—The Federal
13
lands described in this subsection are as follows:

(1) That portion of Tract No. 119, the descrip-
15
tion of which is filed in U.S. District Court for the
16
Northern District of Iowa (Western Division), Civil
17
Case No. 70–C–3015–W, executed May 11, 1973,
18
said tract being situated in Section 8 and the accre-
19
tion land thereto, the Southwest Quarter of Section
20
9, the West Half of Section 16, the East Half of
21
Section 17, Township 86 North, Range 47 West of
22
the Fifth Principal Meridian, Woodbury County,
23
Iowa, lying Easterly of the Nebraska/Iowa State
24
Line and Southerly of the Eastern extension of the
25
North line of the Winnebago Reservation.
