which was referred to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure

To direct the Inspector General of the Department of Trans-
portation to submit to Congress a report relating to
any structural defects in the Governor Mario M. Cuomo
Bridge, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. REPORT ON POTENTIAL STRUCTURAL DE-

FECTS IN THE GOVERNOR MARIO M. CUOMO

BRIDGE.

(a) IN GENERAL.—Not later than 180 days after the
6
date of the enactment of this Act, the Inspector General
7
of the Department of Transportation shall submit to Con-

gress a report detailing the steps that the Inspector Gen-

eral has taken to investigate any structural defects in the

Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, including the findings

of such investigation.

(b) STATE COORDINATION.—The Inspector General
5
of the Department of Transportation shall consult with
6
the New York State Department of Transportation during
7
the course of the investigation described in subsection (a).
