Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Protect Victims of 4 Major Disasters Act of 2021’’. 5 SEC. 2. IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENT DURING MAJOR DIS- 6 ASTERS. 7 (a) INFORMATION SHARING.—Information collected 8 by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) 9 VerDate Sep 11 2014 06:03 Jun 22, 2021 Jkt 019200 PO 00000 Frm 00001 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H3394.IH H3394 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42PROD with BILLS 2 •HR 3394 IH with respect to an individual who is a victim of a major 1 disaster may not be shared with an immigration enforce- 2 ment agency within the Department of Homeland Security 3 for the purpose of immigration enforcement. 4 (b) DEFINITIONS.—In this section: 5 (1) IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENT AGENCY.— 6 The term ‘‘immigration enforcement agency within 7 the Department of Homeland Security’’ includes: 8 (A) The U.S. Immigration and Customs 9 Enforcement. 10 (B) The U.S. Customs and Border Protec- 11 tion. 12 (2) MAJOR DISASTER.—The term ‘‘major dis- 13 aster’’ has the meaning given such term in section 14 102 of the Robert T.
