A BILL
To update the blood donation public awareness campaign
of the Department of Health and Human Services to
include public awareness on plasma donation.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Plasma Donation
4
Awareness Act’’.

SEC. 2. IMPORTANCE OF THE BLOOD AND PLASMA SUPPLY.

(a) IN GENERAL.—Section 3226 of the CARES Act
7
(Public Law 116–136) is amended—

(1) in the section heading, by inserting ‘‘AND

PLASMA’’ after ‘‘BLOOD’’; and

(2) by inserting ‘‘and plasma’’ after ‘‘blood’’

each time such term appears.

(b) CONFORMING AMENDMENT.—The item relating
5
to section 3226 in the table of contents in section 2 of
6
the CARES Act (Public Law 116–136) is amended to read
7
as follows:

‘‘Sec. 3226. Importance of the blood and plasma supply.’’.
