To amend title 38, United States Code, to make permanent
certain programs that assist homeless veterans and other
veterans with special needs, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Helping Homeless Vet-
4
erans Act of 2021’’.

(a) HOMELESS VETERANS REINTEGRATION PRO-

GRAMS.—Section 2021(e)(1) of title 38, United States
4
Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:
5
‘‘(G) $50,000,000 for each fiscal year after
6
2022.’’.

(b) REFERRAL
AND COUNSELING SERVICES

HOMELESSNESS

ARE

TRANSITIONING FROM CERTAIN INSTITUTIONS.—Section

2023 of such title is amended—

(1) by striking subsection (d); and

(2) by redesignating subsection (e) as sub-

section (d).

AND HOMELESS VETERANS.—Section 2031 of such title

is amended—

(1) in subsection (a), by striking ‘‘(a)’’; and

(2) by striking subsection (b).

ERANS.—Section 2041 of such title is amended by striking

subsection (c).
