A BILL
To require the President of the Government National Mort-
gage Association to testify annually before the Congress,
and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Ginnie Mae Oversight
4
and Accountability Act of 2021’’.
5
SEC. 2. ANNUAL TESTIMONY.
6
Subsection (a) of section 308 of the National Hous-
7
ing Act (12 U.S.C. 1723(a)) is amended—
8
(1) by inserting ‘‘(1)’’ after the subsection des-
9
ignation;

(2) in the last undesignated paragraph, by in-

serting ‘‘(2)’’ before ‘‘There’’; and

(3) by adding at the end the following new

‘‘(3) The President of the Association shall appear

not less frequently than annually before the Committee on
6
Financial Services of the House of Representatives and
7
the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs
8
of the Senate regarding the financial status of the Associa-
9
tion, the performance of its securities and the issuers of
10
such securities, and any administrative or market chal-
11
lenges faced by the business model of the Association.’’.
