SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION REPORTS ON 1 SMALL BUSINESS RECOVERY AND THE IM- 2 PACT OF AN HOURLY FEDERAL MINIMUM 3 WAGE INCREASE. 4 (a) INITIAL REPORT.—Not later than 180 days after 5 the date of the enactment of this Act, the Administrator 6 of the Small Business Administration shall submit to the 7 Committee on Small Business of the House of Representa- 8 tives and the Committee on Small Business and Entrepre- 9 neurship of the Senate a report on the recovery of small 10 business concerns (as defined under section 3 of the Small 11 Business Act (15 U.S.C. 632)) from the coronavirus pan- 12 demic, including the effects of an increase in the Federal 13 minimum hourly wage to $15— 14 (1) disaggregated by industry; and 15 (2) on such concerns that have less than 500 16 employees. 17 (b) SUBSEQUENT REPORT.—Not later than 180 days 18 after the date on which a law is enacted that proposes 19 increasing the Federal minimum hourly wage to $15 or 20 greater, the Administrator of the Small Business Adminis- 21 tration shall submit to the Committee on Small Business 22 of the House of Representatives and the Committee on 23 Small Business and Entrepreneurship of the Senate a 24 study on the effect of such an increase on small business 25 VerDate Sep 11 2014 19:27 May 03, 2021 Jkt 019200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H1718.IH H1718 pamtmann on DSKBC07HB2PROD with BILLS 3 •HR 1718 IH concerns as compared to small business concerns that pay 1 the current minimum wage.
