TREATMENT OF PAYMENTS FROM THE RAILROAD 1 UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE ACCOUNT. 2 (a) AMENDMENTS.—Section 235 of the Continued 3 Assistance to Rail Workers Act of 2020 (subchapter III 4 of title II of division N of Public Law 116–260) is amend- 5 ed— 6 (1) in subsection (b)— 7 (A) by striking paragraphs (1) and (2); 8 and 9 (B) by striking ‘‘subsection (a)—’’ and in- 10 serting ‘‘subsection (a) shall take effect 7 days 11 after the date of enactment of the Continued 12 Assistance to Rail Workers Act of 2020.’’; and 13 (2) by striking subsection (c). 14 (b) APPLICABILITY.—The amendments made by sub- 15 section (a) shall apply as if enacted on the date before 16 the date on which the national emergency concerning the 17 novel coronavirus disease (COVID–19) outbreak declared 18 by the President on March 13, 2020, under the National 19 Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.) terminates. 20 Æ VerDate Sep 11 2014 23:54 Mar 31, 2021 Jkt 019200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\S545.IS S545 pbinns on DSKJLVW7X2PROD with BILLS
