AN ACT
To direct the Secretary of Health and Human Services to
carry out a national campaign to increase awareness
of the importance of maternal vaccinations for the health
of pregnant and postpartum individuals and their chil-
dren, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Maternal Vaccination
2
Act’’.

SEC. 2. MATERNAL VACCINATION AWARENESS AND EQUITY
4
CAMPAIGN.

(a) CAMPAIGN.—Section 313 of the Public Health
6
Service Act (42 U.S.C. 245) is amended—
7
(1) in subsection (a), by inserting ‘‘and among
8
pregnant and postpartum individuals,’’ after ‘‘low
9
rates of vaccination,’’;
10
(2) in subsection (c)(3), by striking ‘‘prenatal
11
and pediatric’’ and inserting ‘‘prenatal, obstetric,
12
and pediatric’’;
13
(3) in subsection (d)(4)(B), by inserting ‘‘preg-
14
nant and postpartum individuals and’’ after ‘‘includ-
15
ing’’; and
16
(4) in subsection (g), by striking ‘‘$15,000,000
17
for each of fiscal years 2021 through 2025’’ and in-
18
serting ‘‘$17,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2022
19
through 2026’’.

(b) ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES.—Section 317(k)(1)(E)

of
the
Public
Health
Service
Act
(42
U.S.C.

247b(k)(1)(E)) is amended—
23
(1) in clause (v), by striking ‘‘and’’ at the end;
24
and
25
(2) by adding at the end the following clause:
